I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2008. I worked at a local ABA clinic for three years and held many positions including direct care therapist, head teacher, and case supervisor. I loved it so much that I went back to school to further my education in this field. I graduated with a Masters of Special Education from Sam Houston State University and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2013. I continued to work at that clinic for a total of five years and developed a great deal of knowledge and experience with kids from ages 4-18 diagnosed with autism, downs syndrome, and other developmental delays.
Working with these families and seeing the progress that they make has been my favorite part of this job. I always tell people that I am so blessed to get paid for a job where I get to play with kids all day. It never ceases to amaze me how they can overcome such obstacles and push to succeed despite the challenges they face. I love being a part of that process and watching the families adapt to these wonderful changes that are developing.
